Most "cheap" painters skip prep and skip cleanup. That's where drips, uneven edges and dust-in-paint come from.
What we do
In scope
- Surface prep — light sanding, dust wipe, hairline-crack filler
- Masking + edge sealing — skirting, sockets, switches, door frames, window frames
- Floor + furniture protection — drop sheets, plastic sheeting over fixed items
- Primer coat — on bare patches, repaired areas, colour-change zones
- Two finish coats — standard. Three on dark-to-light colour changes
- Paint supplied — Nippon / Dulux standard included; specify brand at quote
- Tape pull while paint is still wet — no peeling, no torn edge
- Post-paint cleanup — drop sheets removed, floor mopped, masking pulled
- Touch-up paint kit left behind — small tin for future patch repair
- Equipment — rollers, brushes, sprayer where suitable, ladder, drop sheets

How a paint job runs
Prep is half the job.
Bad paint jobs are bad prep jobs. We sand, fill, mask, prime — then paint.
Mask + protect
Tape on skirting, sockets, switches, door frames, window frames. Drop sheets on floors. Plastic over fixed furniture. Then we paint — not before.
Prime + coat
Primer on patches and colour-change zones. Two finish coats standard, three on dark-to-light shifts. Roller for walls, brush for cut-in, sprayer where suitable.
Tape pull + cleanup
Tape comes off while paint is still tacky — no peeling, no torn edge. Drop sheets removed, floor mopped, masking bagged out. Touch-up tin left behind.
Where bad paint jobs fail
Three details we don't skip.
Drips on skirting, ragged tape edges, dust trapped in paint. Each is a prep failure, not a paint failure.

Edge sealing.
Skirting, cornices, frame edges all taped and pressed. Paint stops where the tape stops — no bleed, no touch-up needed after.

Surface prep.
Sand glossy spots, fill hairline cracks, prime patches. Smooth and dry first — then paint.
Detail 03
Post-paint cleanup.
Drop sheets out, floor mopped, masking pulled. We don't leave you with a dusty room and a brand-new wall.

Scope
Will you do just one wall or a small touch-up job?
Yes. Touch-ups, single feature walls, and small patches are all in scope. Minimum quote applies for very small jobs — we tell you the floor in the quote.
What paint brand do you use?
Nippon and Dulux standard ranges are included in the quote. Specialty ranges (low-VOC, anti-mould, washable matte) are an upgrade — we tell you the brand and price at quote.
Can you match an existing paint colour?
Yes. Best result is when you have the original paint tin label. Without it, we colour-match by eye + paint-shop reading — very close, not always identical. We'll tell you straight if a perfect match isn't possible.
Do you paint ceilings?
Yes — ceilings are quoted as part of room or full-unit jobs. Standalone ceiling repaints are also possible.
Timing & logistics
How long does a paint job take?
Single wall: half day. Single room: 1 day. Full HDB / condo unit: 2–4 days depending on size and colour-change complexity. Paint needs cure time between coats — we don't rush this.
How long before I can move furniture back?
Touch-dry: 5 minutes. Recoat: 4 hours. Furniture-safe: 24 hours. Full cure: 7 days — avoid scrubbing walls or hanging heavy items in the first week.
Do I need to move my furniture out?
For single-room jobs, we shift furniture to the centre and cover. For full-unit repaints, we ideally need rooms cleared — or empty. If you can't clear, we work around it (slower).
After paint
Will I smell paint fumes for long?
Standard interior paint: 24–48 hours of fumes. Low-VOC ranges: under 8 hours. Ventilate fully for the first 2 days. If you've also done a renovation, consider formaldehyde removal as a bundled treatment.
